Resident Services
Program Overview
Jubilee Housing’s Resident Services Program is one of the main extensions of our efforts to create sustainable housing and foster diverse communities.
The program provides tailored, on-site support to connect residents with a network of over 30 community partners who offer comprehensive services and programs. We take a people-centered approach—recognizing that housing stability requires access to food, healthcare, financial resources, digital literacy, and community connection.
We host events including cultural celebrations, senior workshops, family fun nights, health and emotional wellness events, and more. We also service seniors, distribute food boxes, and provide digital training to help residents navigate an increasingly digital world.
What We Provide
Food Security
We address food insecurity by distributing food boxes, connecting residents to SNAP benefits and local food resources, and hosting community meals. In 2025, we distributed 1432 food boxes, ensuring families had access to nutritious food when they needed it most.
Community Connection
We host cultural celebrations, family fun nights, and community-building events that create opportunities for residents to connect with one another, build relationships, and experience the joy and belonging that come from being part of a supportive community.
Resource Navigation
Our Resident Service Coordinators help residents navigate healthcare and employment services, educational opportunities and more. We bring in community providers to host informational sessions to make it easier for residents to learn about and access the services available to them.
Health & Wellness
We bring healthcare services directly to residents through partnerships with community providers like Ounce of Care. From health screenings to wellness workshops, we remove barriers to accessing care and help residents prioritize their physical and mental health.
Financial Literacy & Economic Mobility
We connect residents to financial education workshops, credit counseling, employment services and resources that support long-term economic stability. Some of our partners include Jubilee Jobs, Esusu, Empower DC, and others.
Digital Navigation
We provide digital navigation support—helping residents access technology and build digital literacy. In 2024, we launched our first Senior iPad Program cohort, providing seniors with devices and training to stay connected.
Senior Services
We serve our seniors by providing specialized programming, workshops, and resources designed to support aging in place with dignity. Technology training, health workshops, and social connection opportunities are some of the ways we ensure our senior residents get the support they need.

We are very proud of growing our resident leaders. We currently have over 20 resident building and floor captains who provide important feedback, volunteer for events, and serve as members of our board. In 2026, we are planning specialized trainings, field trips, and participating in advocacy initiatives.

Forchun is a 22-year-old, wheelchair bound resident who is working to complete his GED. He recently completed the Digital Navigator training program at Jubilee Jobs. Forchun now works as an intern with the Resident Services Department providing Senior iPad classes and individual computer training for residents.

Mr. M is a 72-year-old senior resident who we've helped get needed services. His resident services coordinator was instrumental in that effort and was adopted as Mr. M's "nephew". Unlike before, Mr. M now enjoys daily interaction with staff and others from his community.
