Reentry Housing & Services
Program Overview
Since 2011, Jubilee’s Reentry Housing Program (RHP) has been a lifeline for individuals returning from incarceration by offering transitional housing, supportive services, and connections to resources that help rebuild lives.
Our transitional housing program welcomes up to 20 justice-impacted citizens at a time, supporting as many as 45 individuals each year.
For up to one year, participants receive holistic wraparound services, accountability, and the encouragement of a dedicated community, empowering them with tools to achieve long-term stability.
What We Provide
Transitional Housing
We provide safe, stable housing for up to one year, giving justice-impacted citizens the foundation they need to rebuild their lives. Jubilee currently has 20 beds for transitional housing with 18 more being created through our KEB project.
Project SUCCEED Training
In 2025, 13 residents graduated from our SUCCEED program—a 13-hour training program designed for organizations who work with returning citizens. By completing this program, participants are taking control of their lives and moving towards a prosperous future.
Advocacy
We advocate for policies and practices that promote equity and opportunity for people returning home after incarceration. Through awareness, collaboration, education, and empowerment, we support and champion initiatives that create opportunities for justice-impacted individuals.
Case Management
Our trained case managers work one-on-one with participants to develop individual plans, set goals, navigate systems, and access the resources they need. We provide accountability, encouragement, and practical support every step of the way.
Employment & Workforce Development
We connect participants to job training programs, apprenticeships, and employment opportunities. In 2024, Charles—a Reentry Housing Program participant—enrolled in an apprenticeship program, became a certified electrician, and is now the owner of his own company.
Community Connection
Participants are welcomed into a supportive community through efforts like mentorship and family reunification. Jubilee connects justice-impacted citizens with mentors, and we provide resources and counseling to help them build trust with loved ones.
Financial Stability
We help participants establish income, open bank accounts, build credit, and gain financial literacy. When they leave the program, half have secured steady income and started saving, laying the foundation for financial stability.
Program Expansion: Looking Ahead
Jubilee Housing is committed to expanding its continuum of support for justice-impacted individuals in the Washington, DC area.
Through the KEB Reentry Supportive Housing Program and additional long-term housing options, Jubilee Housing provides a comprehensive pathway, from initial supportive services to stable, permanent housing.
