Real Estate Development

Overview

Jubilee Housing is an affordable housing developer dedicated to creating and preserving quality homes for households earning 30–60% of Area Median Income (AMI). Through new construction, renovations, and adaptive reuse projects, we expand access to affordable housing while strengthening the communities we serve.

With 15 properties across Adams Morgan, Columbia Heights, and Mount Pleasant, Jubilee is deeply rooted in Ward 1. We work closely with residents and neighbors to ensure our properties reflect community needs and priorities.

Today, we are expanding our impact by adding more than 120 new apartments and renovating 150 existing homes to provide enhanced amenities and long-term affordability.

What’s Next?

Jubilee is also planning for future growth. In October 2023, Truist Bank gifted Jubilee Housing its current headquarters, creating an exciting opportunity to expand our impact.

We anticipate breaking ground in 2027 on a new six-story, mixed-use development that will include 51 affordable homes, a habitable penthouse, basement-level parking, and a multifunctional community plaza designed to serve residents and neighbors alike.

At the same time, we remain committed to preserving and improving our existing portfolio through renovation projects such as ADMO while continuing to pursue new development opportunities. As we work with District government agencies, financial partners, and consultants to advance financing, design, and permitting efforts, we look forward to sharing updates on these projects in the months and years ahead.
