“God has blessed me. Jubilee Housing is an opportunity to return the favor”
Charlie’s father was a mountain man from southwest Virginia and his mother was a Cherokee Indian. He was born in Washington, DC, and has been a resident of Adams Morgan for over 30 years.
Charlie has a Masters Degree in Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University. His first career was as a founder/director of a school for emotionally disturbed adolescents, which he led for eight years, in Alexandria, Va. His second career was as a successful master salesman for twenty years. He has now “retired” to the non-profit world to start giving back to the public, and to enable our executive director, Jim Knight, to “keep running”.
His enjoyment is first and foremost his wife of 33 years, then reading, movies, yoga and travel.
