"Jubilee Housing is a place where people of all sorts and backgrounds can work together to realize our gifts and become our truest selves."
Jim, a Greensboro, North Carolina native, first experienced the Jubilee Housing community as a yearlong intern in the Church of the Saviour's Discipleship Year program. He then spent three years in Knoxville, TN working with homeless and recovering men as facilities manager and work rehabilitation coordinator at the Knox Area Rescue Ministries. In 1998 he and his wife Wendy moved back to Washington, and Jim served as coordinator of the Men's Transitional Program at Samaritan Inns, another mission with ties to the Church of the Saviour community. He returned to Jubilee Housing in 2002 in his current capacity as Executive Director.
Jim posesses a deep commitment to empowerment of economically disadvantaged people through dignified housing and access to opportunities that develop the inherent gifts of the individual.
His wife Wendy is a Veterinarian in Washington, D.C. and the couple live in the city with their two children. Jim is also a member of the Friends of Jesus Church, a faith community of the Church of the Saviour.
