When residents grow together and reach out for important financial resources the sky becomes the limit in what one is able to achieve. Life gets better when one becomes aware of community programs that provide financial resources to accomplish their deepest dreams. Jubilee’s economic empowerment program invites all residents to come together, learn from each other, and share together financial dreams and goals that came be made a reality through hard work and sharing resources.
Program Goals:
- Empower residents to achieve financial goals
- Share important financial information through classes and coaching sessions.
- Encourage residents to work as a family and with jubilee staff.
- Educate individuals on community agencies in DC that have homeownership programs, educate individuals on credit, and share valuable financial resources to achieve success.
Past financial programs and services have included:
- Share valuable knowledge of resources for Jubilee residents such as Energy Assistance Program with the DC Government to lower monthly costs of utility bills.
- Invite local credit union Acceso to sign residents up for a savings account.
- Work with local partner organizations LEDC, HCS, and Manna, Inc. to inform residents about home purchase assistance program.
