Residents and staff create friendly community as they enjoy social, cultural and sports events together. The program also invites members of the community to share ways of maintaining a safe and clean environment and to voice any other concerns they may have.
- Plan diverse events and activities to enhance and enrich community life
- Share important life markers (birthdays & anniversaries)
- Bring together groups within the larger community – seniors, youth, etc.
Past Community Building Initiatives have included:

A day trip to Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, for shopping and swimming

A trip to a farm in Maryland. The children enjoyed pony rides, feeding animals, picking pumpkins and jumping in the moon bounce

An outing to the Christmas Revels, an interactive play held at George Washington University

A visit to the Kennedy Center Milennium Stage
