Highlights from Jubilee Youth Services

Jubilee Youth Services will celebrate its first anniversary at the end of October and we are beginning to look back on the events and highlights of the year with gratitude and quite a bit of awe.

A Home of Their Own

Six Jubilee families–some with the assistance of Jubilee Housing, some on their own initiative–have purchased homes over the past 3 months. The Jubilee community celebrates their achievements and wishes them well as they settle into their new neighborhoods.

Rallying for Funding

On Wednesday, May 7th at 9:00am seven residents along with three Jubilee Housing staff members met in front of the Wilson Building to attend a rally to advocate for more affordable housing funding in the Mayor’s 2009 budget. There were two specific programs that would support residents at Jubilee Housing: The Housing Production Trust Fund (HPTF) and Local Rent Supplement Program (LRSP).
