Jonathan Small serves as vice president of Administration and Human Resources for Jubilee Housing. He assumed this role in January 2017.

Small is responsible for Jubilee’s operations, human resources initiatives—including benefits administration, employee relations, and professional development—and information systems. He also oversees Jubilee’s finances, including its budgeting and accounting. In addition, Small supervises Jubilee’s organizational development.

Highlights of Small’s work at Jubilee include streamlining administrative processes—such as onboarding for new employees—to make them more efficient and consistent; fostering increased communication between management and staff among departments through more regular gatherings of staff and management; and revamping Jubilee’s benefits program to better meet employee needs.

Small possessed more than 15 years of administration and human resources leadership experience prior to joining Jubilee, including service as vice president of Human Resources at Memorial Health Medical Center in Savannah, Ga.

Small serves on the board of the Alliance for Youth Education, a national initiative that provides scholarships for outstanding African-American and historically underserved students interested in pursuing four-year degrees at public or private institutions of higher learning. Small is a member of the National Association for Health Care Recruitment and a lifelong member of the Society for Human Resources Management. He routinely presents at national forums on compensation and human resources.
